Larus will leverage 24/7 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery from Capella to complement its advanced expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Big Data Analytics, and Decision Support Systems (DSS).
As a member of Capella’s Analytics Partner Program, Larus will have unique access to high-resolution SAR imagery and technical resources to develop advanced SAR-based analytics. The initial focus will be on automated collection planning using space-based imagery. Several years of geospatial AI expertise have led to Larus’ prominent capability of processing detections from SAR images.
As a leader in developing state-of-the-art AI and ML solutions, Larus requires access to highly reliable tasking and significant historic data resources, which Capella is uniquely suited to deliver. Capella’s rich archive of high-quality imagery represents years of SAR collection, including both commercial and defense-related applications, that can be leveraged to enrich AI/ML collection planning models. Larus will use Capella’s automated tasking interface and APIs to validate and deploy these capabilities on timely and relevant data to their defense and intelligence clients worldwide.
